"Abbe"

"Our Beloved Little Lady!"

I have had Abbe since she was but 5 weeks old.
She was just a little bundle of fluff in the
palm of my hand.

She was a beautiful dog and got many admiring
pats. She had been with me through thick and
thin- while my boys were at school, went to
university, moving house more times than I
care to remember, and through my divorce and
my illnesses, she was always there to comfort
me and make me happy.

She was put to sleep as old girl- almost
18 years old , but was always loyal and
faithful although a little eccentric
in her ways and stubborn beyond belief
right to the very end.

Her favourite thing is a cup of coffee or
tea, but her preference being coffee and
when we made one for ourselves , we also
had a special cup for her so she could
join us.

She has kept good health although in the
last year she became senile and extremely
nervouse and confused and her arthritis
got so much worse. She also had some really
bad teeth with age and of course she couldn't
get an anaesthetic and she had cataracts
which rendered her almost blind.

She was a real clean and very house proud
lady and when she became in the last
month incontinent it really upset her.

She loved our Cavalier King Charles dog
Drew who she was with for over 4 years ,
and my other little dog Dinky (who died )
with a kind of uppity affection.

I had her longer than any other dog and
I had her from birth. I will never forget
her and miss her terribly. She had pride
though and dignity and I had to retain
that to the end and as I didn't want her
to lose that I got her put to sleep as
she was becoming a very unhappy nervous
old girl.

She is my gift from The Top of The World - Tibet.

The Creation

When God had made the earth and
sky the flowers and the trees,
He then made all the animals the
fish, the birds and bees.

And when at last He'd finished
not one was quite the same.
He said, "I'll walk this world
of mine and give each one a name."

And so He traveled far and wide
and everywhere He went, a little
creature followed Him until it's
strength was spent.

When all were named upon the
earth and in the sky and sea,
the little creature said,
"Dear Lord, there's not one
left for me."

Kindly the Father said to him,
"I've left you to the end. I've
turned my own name back to front
and called you dog,
My friend."

Hello I Made It!

I just wanted to let you know that
I made it home The journey wasn't
an easy one, but it didn't take
too long.

Everything is so pretty here, so
white, so fresh and new I
wish that you could close your
eyes and that you could see it
too. Please try not to be sad
for me.

Try to understand God is taking
care of me...I'm in the shelter
of His hands.

Here there is no sadness, no
sorrow, and no pain. Here there
is no crying and I'll never
hurt again. Here it is so peaceful
when all the angels sing. I
really have to go for now...
I've just got to try my wings.
