"Imprints of My Life!"

Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java(tm).

Have you seen my imprints in the sand?

They were my testiment that I was there.
Even though I found that not too many
really cared. But they are there just the same
Maybe you can see them, if you will only look
through my eyes. I need a hug, won't you
please just take my hand.

I left them there for all to see, but I
suppose it simply was not to be..

Have you seen my imprints in the sand?

I was there, and I left my essence for
all to see, I did make a difference to some
back there in that life, even if you might
not agree. I earned a right to live here,
by the ancestors that came before me.
They gave their lives and endured the
pain and shame so mine and generations
to come could live here in this life free.

Look to the sky now to see my imprints shine!

For now I reside with the Great Spirit.
He looked down upon my life, and saw my plight.
He looked down upon me, and saw the battle
That I was losing. Even though I continued to fight.

My body was ravaged with cancer, the pain was great!
He also saw that there was no love nor compassion.
For that he felt sad, and yes maybe even a little mad.
He saw that I continued to fight for my life.
Even when those that cared for me, seemed to have
blocked me completely from their sight.

He came to me, and said "Take my hand my son,
for your fight here now is done. For I will
take you to a place where color is blind, and
all are welcome.. Where love and compassion, are
freely given. Not something that is only for
the social choosen.. You have fought a brave
battle, and your ancestors are proud. Let us
go now my son. Do you hear the angels
trumpets blowing? They are announcing your
arrival. I could hear them plainly, as we
ascended into the clouds."

This poem and page is dedicated to a young
Native American man I have never met.
But through friends, Helen and Wolfgang
sharing the story of his battle with cancer,
and the horrible treatment he recieved during
his hospital stays. I felt compelled to add
not only his story of his battle with cancer,
but an even more deadly disease..

The disease of hate and discrimination..
He ended up dying alone, at only 32 years old.
He was found only because they called to check
on him, when there was no answer, she called 911.

He was found on the back stairwell.
They can only assume he was trying to get help..
But no one cared enough to even come out
of their apartment to help..

Rest Warrior Noel Frances.. For those that
went before you, your ancestors welcome you home..

My prayer for this world is that at some point
we all will learn to love and accept each other
not matter what the color of our skin, or our
nationality.. Please help spread the word of
love and acceptance, by visiting some of the
links on this page.. Sign their guest books,
and send the links to others.. Only we the
people can change this attitude.. Thank you..

Dedicated to a proud Miqmaq Warrior
Who didn’t get the chance to prove his worth.
Noel Francis returned to the Great Spirit
In 1999 at age 31, Cancer took him.
Not forgotten by your friends Wolfgang & Helen
