In our worldwide sorrow, how is it possible
we can offer words of encouragement and support
when we feel so violated, so unsure of what we
shall do in our next breath...

How can we go beyond the guilt of that
breath when those who perished can
no longer breathe...
Although we will never, ever be the same, we will
carry on--for this is all we know.

Comfort each other,
do something for your neighbour.

Pray to lift the grieving spirit within you, then
get going and keep going in the effort to rebuild.
It is a terrible tragedy of epoch proportion
Don't forget we face it together and as one.

Pat N. ( UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ), Tuesday 09/11/2001
Helen, thank you for making such a nice place to come to say a prayer. I lift those that lost their lives and all their family members up in prayer. Heal their hurt. Those that lived through it, that will have 'why not me' thoughts, I pray that they will understand the reasoning of it. I pray that all the service men and women be touched and given strength as they are awaiting their orders. For all their parents that are sitting on the edge of their seats waiting to hear from their children...give them the faith that the right thing is being done. I pray that we come together as a Nation Under God, stand up for our freedom and peace that we have so lived for. Let no one take us under, and those that are guilty of doing this to our nation be dealt with a harsh manner. So as to let the whole world know that we will NOT stand for this. We are a GREAT NATION!

Peter ( Canada ), Tuesday 09/11/2001
We as your brothers and sisters of a common border stand ready to assist, to support the weak, to refill that which is empty, to work with those who seek answers, to provide medical help, to accommodate those displaced. In short, we are ready to do for the United States Of America the things they have done for others. May those responsible for this irrational act, receive no comfort in this world or any afterlife they may progress to. May God walk with all those affected and touched by the events of today. Canada stands ready.

Ellen Thornbury ( Northern Ireland ), Tuesday 09/11/2001

How sad it is. We are hurting from deep within. We awoke this morning to the daily hassles of getting up, going to work, kids of to school, then out of nowhere we hear the terrible news. Our nation's peoples are hurting again. My heart goes out to the people on the planes, the poor souls lost in the towers, our firefighters, our red, white and blues, they are so many people to say a prayer for, the mother who lost a son, the husband who lost a wife, a friend whose smile they will never see. God please bless all the people who are really counting on you, be with our heroes and brave fighters as they go off to war, but also let justice be served. If we each say a prayer that starts tonight, hopefully we will live to see the morning light. God bless all, from the bottom of my heart.

Laura ( not given ), Tuesday 09/11/2001
My prayers are with everyone who even watched on TV. It was tragic, many more prayers for the families who lost someone or several someones...

All I need to say is said in the pledge of allegience in just a few words "One nation under God, indivisible." Yeah, I used it to state a point but that's all we need to know, look to God and all shall be okay, keep our nation in prayer today.

Moston ( NY ), Tuesday 09/11/2001

Cannot believe my eyes at what has happened. My heart goes out to all Americans and their friends. My Thoughts are with President Bush and the whole nation in this trying time.

Michele And Charles Alder ( Garland, Texas United States Of America ), Tuesday 09/11/2001
I don't think words can express how I feel tonight, after what has happened today, except that It's time that the people of America realize that God is trying to tell us something and we all need to stop and listen. They have taken God out of our schools. And then on a day like this where tragedy strikes, everyone suddenly turns to God. Why can't people Love, Honor, and SERVE HIM when things are going good. This really saddens me. Thanks for the beautiful site.

Penny Taylor ( Wawa, Ont. Canada ), Tuesday 09/11/2001

Tuesday September 11th 2001, at approximately 9:00 a.m. as our beloved Country was brutally attacked. We lost so many people that were there to help us. Now that this has happened I believe we are going to stand up for our rights and we will find out who did this to us. And we will get them. It may take awhile but we will. I have faith in America. This is our country. And we don't need to let anyone take it from us. Some of us have lived here all our lives. And some haven't but for those who haven't. It's still your country, too. Now that this has happened we are going to be more careful. And now this has happened the people that did might just leave us alone. But then again they might want "war." And well we don't want "war" we just want to be safe and we want our country to be safe. So everyone be safe and pray for the lost ones and their families.

Penny Stevens ( USA ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
What a beautiful job and lots of hard work went into this page. A lot of thought from the heart and caring. Our prayers are with all. May God Bless us all. We truly are a nation at war and for this I am terrified. This had literally happened in my back yard. I pray for all the victims and their families, and friends. But also for our brave firemen and woman, our police officers and our EMTs and all the doctors and nurses that have and are still giving of their time to help recover the victims of this act of terror. We have to all stand together as the strong country that we are and not let these animals win.GOD BLESS AMERICA, OUR HOME SWEET HOME.

Jeremy ( Fort Gordon, GA ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
This is the time for the entire nation to gather as one. I hope that in this act of terrorism, our country will realize that there is more to life than black and white, there's life itself. Something that should be cherished, not taken for granted. I pray that now, in our time of need, that everyone will pull together and overcome this tragedy. With help from our Almighty Father, this is possible.

A page well done. As Americans at this point we do need prayers more than ever as well as tempered wisdom and strength. We are like weeds, that which does not kill us only makes us stronger. Thanx for the kind thoughts conveyed in the webpage.

I am very thankful that today I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ my Savior. This is a wakeup call to America we need to bring God back into every thing we do we must repent and admit that we are sinners so God will hear our prayers. If you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ please find a pastor and repent today. Read John 3:16 if you have a bible. If you are saved please keep these families in your prayers and all the people who are helping out. Remember God Loves All and there is only way to God and that is through Jesus Christ please accept Him in to your heart. My heart felt prayers are with all and we will forget no one. In a time when were are all so saddened by the events of yesterday, it's wonderful to see so many pouring their hearts into their country. Let us trust in God. One nation under God, united we stand.

Gail ( Alberta Canada ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
My prayers go out to all the nations united under God, that they may be also united against evil. May the Good Lord touch and heal the hearts of those who have lost loved ones to this evil carnage. Canada stands ready to assist in any way possible. Wherever and whenever possible we must teach those who have not learned about the blessings of the Lord. Also remember, that although we may want revenge immediately, it cannot be immediate. With the Lord as our guide and mentor, those that have perpetrated this evil act will be struck down mercilessly. God, by any other name, is still God. May God bless each and every one of us, heal our hearts and keep us safe.

No words can describe how I feel, your pain and grief must be beyond description. no good can come of this, and I pray for the victims and family and rescuers, everyone in the world has been touched by this appalling disaster. May God go with each and every human being on the journey upon which they embark, be it Heaven or be it Hell. Life and Liberty against mankind has been attacked, aimed directly at the USA, but landing in the hearts of all! God Bless us one and all.

Karen Ryan ( Portland, Victoria, Australia ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
As an Australian and a human, my heart goes out to all who, as I have, has been affected by this horriffic act of inhumane stupidity. I stand by our Prime Minister who said "America has our total support." I would also like to say how touching you words are. Thank you.

Polly ( Kingston, New York ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
The loving support that can be found almost anywhere one turns is vital to our sanity and sense of balance as we find our footing while facing the unfolding of the actual depths of these tragedies. God bless all of America and all of this world we call Earth; God keep the rescue workers, reporters, service personnel safe; God grant our leaders resources, correct information and wisdom; God rest the souls of those killed this week. May their friends and families find solace in knowing we, as a nation, love you and we cry with you.

Lloyd Wooley ( Longview. WA. Good Ol' U.S. of A. ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
My heart goes out to all that have been snuffed out by this madman. He has let loose the RATH of America's might. He will be looking over his shoulder for that person, that will collect the 2 million dollars reward, for his sorry butt. God bless the United States of America.

I pray for all those who were lost to such a horrific act of hatred.

Ngaire Lowndes ( London, England. ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
For those of us old enough to have grown up with the daily threat of nuclear annihilation, this feeling is not new. For those of us who live on mainland Britain, especially in London, the threat of bombs and sudden death is not new. The IRA has bombed, maimed, and killed innocent civilians by the hundred. For those of us who are Christians, there is one verse:- "Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord. I will repay."Do not be hasty in revenge lest you destroy the whole of mankind. May the Lord have mercy on us all.

Marjorie Abbott ( Danby, Vermont U S A ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
What a wonderful thing this is... we all have to pray together to make the world right for us again. Thank you for this moment.

Lissaann ( California ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
This is a really freaky looking page...but pretty, and sad… thanks for setting it up.

Belinda And Joe Sebert ( York SC USA ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
There are no words to explain the grief that some sadistic soul has put upon us, but we can all just pray for everyone involved in the crisis and for the person responsible, they really need someone to pray for them. Someone who is capable of that has got to be a sick individual. Love and Prayers.

Ntinos Greece ( GREECE ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
I HOPE WE LEARN ALL (AND I MEAN AMERICA, TOO) THAT WE CAN'T BEAT TERROR WITH TERROR. I PRAY FOR ALL THE VICTIMS IN THE USA, AND ALSO THE CHILDREN AND WOMEN WHO DIED IN THE WAR OF SERBIA. I HOPE THE USA WILL NOT KILL AS THEY DO IT BEFORE, THEY HAVE TO KILL "ONLY" THE PEOPLE WHO DID THIS AND NOT A WHOLE COUNTRY.

Billie Goodno ( Newport, WA/USA ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
Hi Helen. This was beautiful as is all your work, however it is hard to repeat much because I was crying to hard. Dealing with the loss of my husband, I have to multiply my feeling by maybe 20,000 people tonight, and that is just to much to imagine. This is a terrible day in the history of mankind. Makes no difference where this happened, it was a horrible act of mass murder and the entire world, I believe, feels our pain. I can only hope and pray that this event helps bring the world powers together to prevent any further happenings like this from occurring anywhere in the world. This is not war, this was a despicable act of mass murder from a maniac, and his accomplices.

Kristy Anderson ( Australia, Perth ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
Just like to send my deepest prayers and sympathies for all of those affected by such a tragic event. My heart, prayers and tears are with you all.

God Bless you, and God Bless America!!

We must all pray for world peace and hope something like this does not happen again. We must all pray for the men and women that lost their lives in this terrible injustice.

John Braunreiter Sr. ( Appleton, Wisconsin ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
My only hope is that we have OUR REVENGE. And not take to long to get it. Pray for all those who were injured and killed and for all those terrific volunteers who lent a helping hand and those who gave their lives trying to help.

Future ( England ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
I was so shocked at what I was seeing, I couldn't believe it was happening, the sadness I felt has I watched the events unfold bought tears to my eyes. I can only imagine the grief and deep sadness that the families of the victims are feeling at this time. Our Government has said that we will stand shoulder to shoulder with America and I totally agree. In the years gone by America and Britain have fought side by side against the evils of this world. I shall send your page on to all my friends that I have online, most are American, and very good friends, too. Thank you.

Leah Ahern ( Australia ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
I think it is very sad. I never thought I would live to see something so horrible. God bless all the families of the people that were killed or injured. I feel for you, my heart and prayers are with all of you.

Patty Seifert-Ledbetter ( Fayetteville, NC USA ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
I pray that we all band together to see this senselessness stopped in our lifetime. I have a dear friend unaccounted for at One WTC - I pray to God he is all right - to all who have lost or are in the same position as I am, please know that God will take care of us - HE always comes through. Being a widow has made me see life from a totally different angle - All is not lost - just our souls wander in worry - and HE will soon put us to ease, Love, Patty

Cindy ( Richmond, USA ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
Your site brought tears to my eyes once again. Such a terrible tragedy has fallen upon our country and now we must stand together and save it. May God watch over the friends and family of those who lost their lives.

Mari Whyte ( California ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
The last 20 floors of the south tower just fell. My heart breaks for this horrible loss of life. My prayers are directed, still, for the future events, comfort and healing for those who have lost loved ones, those who are injured, those who yet struggle to live through this event, but above all my prayers go out to the leaders of our country, that they might consider well how they shall go about discovering the responsible parties and ensuring that this shall not occur again from that source. Think well ladies and gentlemen the moves we make are being watched by the eyes of the world.....may we rise with courage and nobility to the height which our spirits are capable.

Val ( Rochester, NY ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
Please show our support by raising the American flag.........I pray for all.

Kathy ( PA ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
May we all find some kind of peace with the loss of so many loved ones and may we all stand in a moment of silence in memory of this tragic event we all endured.

Baby ( Singapore ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
I was shocked at the news. Me and people of Singapore share with you and government and people of United States this deep sense of anguish and grief. These terrorist attacks should be roundly condemned by all civilised peoples. My deepest condolences to the families of those who have lost their loved ones.

Kathy Ledford ( Valley, Alabama ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
We do not have to actually lose family or friends to feel the grief and anger for the tragedy of September 11, 2001. My prayers go out not only for the people who lost loved ones, but for all of us. God help us to deal with what has happened and what lies ahead.

Hummingbird ( Indiana/USA! ), Wednesday 09/12/2001

I really couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it on TV, I really feel for the families and friends of those innocent people who have been killed and injured. One story touched my heart when I saw it on the news and that was a little girl who didn't know if her dad was alive, then to see them reunited made me cry. My heart goes out to all. Feel free to e-mail me as I would like to hear more stories like this.

God only knows why things like this happen, it's enough to keep you awake at night and make you wonder if the next time something like this happens, it could very well be right in your own town/state. God, please keep everyone safe and help them catch these bad people. GOD BLESS ALL OF US!!!

Franklin K. Cassel ( Lancaster, PA. USA ), Wednesday 09/12/2001

Our thoughts and prayers to those that suffered the most and will forever more to the ones whose loved ones came home, their lives changed forever by the experience that they may receive comfort in the knowledge that God is with them wanting to comfort them as only He can. Words cannot convey the feelings and thoughts felt at this terrible time. May God's hand guide the leaders in the decisions they must make and not just make them out of an anger that will be in their hearts As Jesus said....."forgive them for they know not what they do" we react in anger we are no better than the terrorists... GOD SPEED REST IN PEACE.

Sharon ( St. Augustine, Florida USA ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
My heart is breaking for everyone in this country now and especially for the victims and their families. My thoughts and prayers are with them now and will continue to be. I am heartsick that people in other places are raising their children to not only have disrespect for human life but a spirit of misguided bitterness and poor judgement. I am proud of the USA and I am so touched by the support of our foreign friends especially in Canada and the U.K.. May God Bless America and watch over our friends around the world!

I can't speak for everyone...or say what will happen, or who will win/seize the day....but I hope that we all don't lose ourselves in this hatred and are able to take notice of the important things in life...such as the beauty and unity of the world, and the love we all share with someone...if not always ourselves.

God, we stand alongside our family and friends of America this day, bearing up their pain and grief from this indescribable happening. Give to the leaders of this great nation your great strength and courage. Guide and illuminate them with your wisdom to do the right things at the right time, eliminate any hint of erroneous acts and decisions that may result in deeper turmoil. Amend every wrong, right. Expose every lurking darkness and Restore what has been lost and open our eyes to see and understand that the greed of domination is never the solution to make this world a better place for our children and the generations to come. Lord, spread your arms of healing and protection over every grieving soul who has have been victimised by this senseless act of inhumane brutality. Words cannot say enough how we feel for their loss but we know your infinite presence is here right by their side, to the end. We encompass America with our heartfelt condolences and support, for we are ONE in the human race. United we st

Lee Prigmore ( Garland, Texas ), Wednesday 09/12/2001
11 Sept. 2001 was a very sad day in our lives. We all think that our country is not capable of having these type things come about but We need to rethink what has happened over the past years. We have allowed the Devil to get into our government and take GOD out of our Schools, out of our Public buildings and many other places... Is this a way that GOD may be trying to get our attention???? I for one think so... We live our lives today thinking only of ourselves and GOD is not in those activities. We as a Nation need to rethink and put GOD back where he belongs and that is in our Homes and our Family Life Activities. I pray today that GOD will show mercy on us and will comfort all those that have fallen due to this act we have just witnessed. I pray for all those that have lost love ones not only to this act in New York but for other ill problems. I pray for our men and women that are in the armed forces, the Firemen and Policemen, and those undertaking the effort of rescueing those injured. I pray for our na

We say a prayer every day, and this day of destruction and terror we cry and grieve. My heart and prayers go out to ALL Americans. My friends and family were in the city of New York this day as I watched from here and franticly called home. We scatter to pick up our children not knowing what else will happen. As I sit and cry, my eight-year-old daughter offers this prayer for all those affected. Prayer to My Guardian Angel *Angel of God, My Guardian dear, To whom God's love entrusts me here, Ever this day be at my side, To light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

We in Korea pray for all those who perished in this attack on America. Our blessings go out to all those who lost loved ones. And to the firefighters and law enforcement officers who lost their lives trying to save others. No matter what our nation does to punish those who have committed these crimes, in the end they will only have to face one for their judgement. And we all know our father in heaven will have the final say. God bless all...

Helen V. Preti ( Virginia Beach, VA ), Thursday 09/13/2001

Twitty ( VA ), Thursday 09/13/2001
My prayer is that we as nation will stand in faith that our Lord will not let an act such as this go unpunished. And that we will not do the same as the coward that done this evil thing. When we start serving justice on innocent people because of the clothes they wear or the color of their skin, then we are no better than the coward that attacked innocent people in our great nation. This is the act of satan himself, and he is a liar, our God will prevail.

Thomas C. Neith, Sr. ( Riddle, Or USA ), Thursday 09/13/2001
As I ponder this tragic affair, I look back on the school field trip to NYC. We visited the UN building and Radio City Music Hall, and the last few years as a truck driver, driving down the main streets of Manhattan, I begin to feel a deep sense of loss as I realize that I was once a neighbor, being born and raised in PA. The people were like kinfolk to me and I've just lost many family members in one blow. I try to hold back the tears but these thoughts cause them to well up even more as a part of my life is wrenched from me.

Deborah ( Portland, Oregon ), Thursday 09/13/2001
My deepest sympathies to the families & friends of those lost in this tragic attack on our country. We WILL remember them, and friends & strangers will hold hands...in their names. God Bless & Keep You.

We are in mourning and we are in shock. We're still grappling with the unreality of the awful thing that happened to innocent men, women and children. Aly ( not given ), Thursday 09/13/2001
I sit here and watch the televised news...my heart is empty! Our country...its people...the very freedoms that we take for granted each night as we "safely" go to bed, and each day that we "safely" arrive at our workplaces. Today I mourn, with a nation...with thousands of Mothers who will watch, hear, and feel the pain of not knowing. More tragically...they know what their hearts dare not whisper. There is no hope for their Son, their Daughter, their loved one. My heart is open wide, their pain uniting with the rest of us who have nothing more than compassion to offer. If today I am only allowed one prayer, please think me not selfish to pray for "my Son," for his safety and the safety of his comrades. Let me believe in hope. Let me pray for the peace that will evolve, not through barbaric acts of retaliation, though my heart is moved to enough anger and pain to momentarily desire such justice. An eye for an eye, a heart for a heart. But then I become the barbarian! So God, please take care of the hearts stil

Having been through events ... which were similar in nature, my heart goes out to you all ... whatever you do to bring these scum to task, Australia, I know, are right with you.

Bernice & Karl ( Garland, Texas ), Thursday 09/13/2001
As I sat and watched the horror of the destruction of the Twin Towers, and the Pentagon, by such an act of violence, I couldn't believe that what I was seeing was actually happening to us in this great country of AMERICA. It was indeed a cowardly act, and those responsible should be held accountable and dealt with in the harshest manner possible. Our deepest sympathies go out to the families and friends lost in this tragic attack, and to those gallant men and women who gave their lives trying to rescue and save so many. May God Bless and keep this great nation. 'LET FREEDOM RING'

Lord, we stand together this day, we up hold each and every family in the USA and Lord we ask that you meet each and every one there at this time. Lord, I know words cannot heal, but Your Love can, Lord. Touch each and every family and meet them this day and guide and comfort them at this time. Leeharne ( Australia ), Thursday 09/13/2001
Our hearts go out to all the many people that have lost their lives and those who have to live with the disaster that has chiselled an imprint into their hearts for the ones they have lost. Terrorism should not be tolerated in this world. I wish no one to ever see this act of violence ever again. Whatever the nation, whoever the people, we should stand together and live by the basic principles of do unto others as you would have done unto you. For world peace we must all live by this rule. The nations that fight amongst themselves and stand behind the guise of religion should take a deep look at themselves. Are they doing to others as they would have done to themselves????? May God bless our world and take each and every one by the hand to unite us together for the sake of world peace.

Joan L. Weldon ( St. Petersburg U.S.A. ), Thursday 09/13/2001

Marie ( Hampton, VA USA ), Thursday 09/13/2001
I hope these people do not get away with this. Let's hope our government can find out who is responsible and punish them harshly. I also think US marshalls on all airplanes is not a bad idea as long as they only have high powered stun guns and billy clubs. I have deep sympathy for all who are changed by this tragedy, and I pray nothing like this ever happens again, unless we are the ones doing it. Love to all.

Doug Anderson ( Miamisburg, Ohio US ), Thursday 09/13/2001

Agbeyegbe Kay Orighomisan ( LAGOS - NIGERIA ), Thursday 09/13/2001
This is a clear show of man's inhumanity to man. It is just inhuman, the perpetrators of this act certainly do not have a heart. They do not deserve to be called humans, and shouldn't be treated as one. May the souls of the dead be granted eternal rest, and may their families have the fortitude to bear the loss.

Krista ( USA ), Thursday 09/13/2001
My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone.
